METHODIST BORDER MISSION NETWORK 

FOLLOWING IS A DRAFT DOCUMENT -- CURRENTLY UNDER REVISION

I.     The Methodist Border Mission Network (MBMN) is a bi-lateral ministry on the U.S. / Mexico border involving five (5) conferences of the United Methodist Church (UMC) and three (3) conferences in the Methodist Church of Mexico (IMMAR).  Those Conferences are:

The UMC Conferences

California-Pacific (CAL-PAC)

Desert Southwest (DSC)

New Mexico (NMCON) 

Rio Grande (RGC)

Southwest Texas (SWTX)

The IMMAR Conferences

Northwest Conference (CANO),

North Central Conference

Eastern  Conference 

 II.  THE VISION of the MBMN:  “God’s people connected in mission in a world without borders.”

 III.  The MISSION of the MBMN -- “Manifesting our Wesleyan heritage in cross-border ministries through mutually empowering collaboration between the Methodist Church of Mexico (IMMAR) and the United Methodist Church (UMC).”

IV.   Concepts of MBMN are:  To be supplied at later date.
